Kuva Liches Explained

This is how to most effectively farm a Kuva Lich.

Prep

You will need some things sorted out and ready to go, BEFORE you being your Lich. If this is your first Lich and you accidentally started it, don’t worry, we will sort you out.

Do not be worried about having an r5 Lich, they are not a mark of poor performance, they happen for many RNG reasons, they are easy to get. Lucky for us they stop growing at r5.

Things to have prior to starting a Lich:

1. A Railjack that can survive Saturn Proxima.
2. A strong frame that will be the Progenitor of the element you want and possible Ephemera you are trying to collect.
3. Resistance mods and/or arcanes vs the element you have selected with your Progenitor.
4. Time of about 1.5 hours for an average full Lich run.

Acquisition

Now that you have your gear set and you do not have a Lich started yet, here are your next steps:

1. Take your Warframe of Progenitor element choice and do the SATURN/CASSINI mission SOLO.
2. Run straight to the capture target and complete it.
3. Begin to SLOW WALK killing everything towards the exit, looking for a Screen Flash.
4. After the Screen Flash you have approximately 30 seconds to kill 15 enemies to spawn the Larvling with a red navigation marker.
5. Go to the Larvling red navigation marker and knock the Larvling down.
6. The weapon it has spawned will appear above it’s head when you get close to the Larvling.

• If the weapon you see is the one you want or need, press and hold your action button to start that Lich.
• Else leave the Larvling alive and go to the exit to complete the mission. Do not abort, instead complete the mission.

After you exit the mission you will have a cut scene from your Lich and now a red square Lich button will appear in the lower right hand side of your navigation menu screen. You will use that button to check on the things about your Lich.

You want to make note of these things:

1. The name of your Lich. This will matter if you do missions with a squad.
2. The weaknesses or resistances that your Lich might have. These are random and not always present. Mod for them.
3. Anger level of your Lich, (“Indifferent → Annoyed → Fuming → Furious → Enraged”) this increases the chance that your Lich will spawn in adversary missions for you.

Begin To Solve Your Lich Requiems

Now that you have started your Lich, you will need to do the following:

1. Learn the requiem mods needed for your Lich.
2. Acquire the needed requiem mods that you do not have.
3. Learn the slot order of the requiem mods for your Lich.

Mission Type Priority Order

Do Lich missions in this order on each planet:

1. Spy
2. Capture
3. Rescue
4. Sabotage
5. Exterminate
6. Excavation
7. Assault
8. Defense
9. Survival
10. Mobile Defense

Learn The First Requiem On Earth

Begin with Earth missions that have a, red cloud cover, Lich controlled mission. In each mission Grineer Kuva Thrall will spawn. Down and then execute a finisher on the Kuva Thralls. Each finished Kuva Thrall will fill a progress ring to identify a requiem mod that you will need. Keep farming the Kuva Thralls in missions on Earth until the ring is full and the requiem identity displays on mission exit.

Finishing a Kuva Thrall has a chance to drop a Requiem Relic

Finishing the Kuva Thralls will increase your Lich’s anger level to get the Lich to spawn in mission for you.

After you have learned the identity of a requiem mod. You need to acquire that Requiem Mod from:

1. Other players
2. Farm for it from cracking Requiem Relics in Requiem Fissure missions.
   • If you do not have any requiem relics, you can continue to farm Kuva Thralls for relics without stabbing your Lich, run Kuva Siphon missions, or buy relics from Palladino at Iron Wake
3. Transmute 4 used Requiem mods into 1 fresh new one.

Now that you have the requiem mod you learned, you will modify your parazon and place the requiem mod in the left slot open. All requiem mod ciphers are left to right. You will place requiem mods on your parazon in a specific order left to right. You learn the order needed by testing equipped requiem mod positions doing finishers on your Lich.

If you have an Oull Requiem Mod, to begin stabbing your Lich, put it in the Left slot of your parazon and the first requiem in the Center slot.

Ultimatum Use

If you have an Ultimatum equipped on your gear wheel, you will do one mission only.

1. Set your parazon requiem mods.
2. Enter the mission solo.
3. Move into the mission a short distance (25m+)
4. Be ready, do your prepwork before a fight, you will be attacked by your Lich immediately when it spawns!
5. Deploy your Ultimatum, be ready! Stab for a guaranteed kill and your off to Saturn Proxima.

Earth First Partial Finisher

Then you will do a partial finisher stab with this configuration.

1. Attack your Lich removing the first health bar, the Lich will sit down, parazon finish to check your first requiem in the Left slot or to check the Oull in the Left slot.
2. If you are using an Oull, then attack again removing the second health bar and finish stab to test your first requiem in Center slot.
3. If the requiem in the Center slot is correct, STOP attacking and walk away! Go complete the mission, ignore your Lich, let the team take the Lich down if they so desire. If the requiem is wrong, you will be off to Mars to start again.

This partial finisher will check if the first requiem known is correct in the slot. That is all you want to know without finishing off the Lich. Go back to farming Kuva Thralls on Earth to learn your second requiem.

Results:

Earth Second Partial Finisher

If you have a successful first partial finisher. Keep farming Kuva Thralls to learn what your second requiem mod is. After you learn what your second requiem mod is, then acquire that mod, you are ready to setup for your second finisher stab.

1. Attack your Lich removing the first health bar, the Lich will sit down, parazon finish to check your first requiem in the Left slot or to check the Oull in the Left slot.
2. Attack again removing the second health bar and finish stab to test your second requiem in the Center slot.
3. If the requiem in the Center slot is correct, STOP attacking and walk away! Go complete the mission, ignore your Lich, let the team take the Lich down if they so desire. If the requiem is wrong, you will be off to Mars to start again.

Results:

Earth Third Finisher

If you have a successful second partial finisher. Keep farming Kuva Thralls to learn what your third requiem mod is. You will need to squad with others that have Earth adversary missions open that you have completed. By going with the squad, it will give you Kuva Thralls to get your third ring full to learn your third requiem. Make sure to keep one of your Earth Lich missions open for your third finisher encounter, otherwise your Lich will auto rank up and go to Mars when you complete all of your Earth Lich missions. After you learn what your third requiem mod is, acquire that mod, and setup for your third finisher stab. This requiem mod should be in the Right slot for a gauranteed finish and sending your Lich to Proxima.

Mars Second Partial Finisher

You have done missions and learned your second requiem on Mars. You have acquired your second requiem mod:

Mars Third Finisher

If you have a successful second partial finisher. Keep farming Kuva Thralls to learn what your third requiem mod is. You will need to squad with others that have Mars adversary missions open that you have completed. By going with the squad, it will give you Kuva Thralls to get your third ring full to learn your third requiem. Make sure to keep one of your Mars Lich missions open for your third finisher encounter, otherwise your Lich will auto rank up and go to Ceres when you complete all of your Mars Lich missions. After you learn what your third requiem mod is, acquire that mod, and setup for your third finisher stab. This requiem mod should be in the Right slot for a gauranteed finish and sending your Lich to Proxima.

Ceres Third Finisher

You have learned your third requiem on Ceres or you have an Oull and stabbed your Lich for the Third time, here is the requiem outcome and next steps based on the requiem results:

Sedna Forth Finisher

You have learned all of your requiems and have finished enough to know the order of the requiems. Review all prior finish stabs to correctly set the mods to match the last possible combination. After success you will go to Saturn Proxima for your final confrontation with your r4 Lich.

Kuva Fortress Fifth Finisher

You have learned all of your requiems and have stabbed enough to know the order of the requiems. Review all prior finish stabs to correctly set the mods to match the last possible combination. After success you will go to Saturn Proxima for your final confrontation with your r5 Lich.

Confront Your Lich

1. Equip your Omni on your gear wheel. The Omni Gear item is a multipurpose tool mainly used to repair hazards that occur whenever the ship takes damage. It is automatically given after completing The Archwing and can be slotted into the gear wheel, although if the player neglects to equip the Omni it will appear on the first empty slot of the wheel when starting an Empyrean mission.
2. Equip resistance mods vs the element of your Lich.
3. Equip weapons with damage your Lich is weak against.

Start your railjack mission on Saturn Proxima.

1. Kill the fighters, kill the crew ships, fly to the gallion.
2. Exit the air lock, then enter the gallion.
3. Run straight to your Lich to beat your Lich down, then Vanquish it for the weapon, or Convert it to be a railjack crewmate or sell it.

If you Vanquish your Lich, you will get a message in your in box with your Kuva weapon, take your time and “walk” in game to your foundry to “claim” your weapon, this avoids a bug in the game where you can lose your weapon if you use the fast travel menu to get to the foundry (personal experience 2 times).
