Warframe Play Through
This is a play through for any Tenno to progress through Warframe. We are going to tell you what to do, when to do it, and where to do it.
Setup your Warframe account
This will describe the PC account setup process, if your using some other platform, then look for the same named options at ech step supported by your platform.
Warframe PC account setup
- Use an email account you have access to. Write it down, you will login with that. Make sure you have access to this email account at all times.
- Set a good Alias name.
- Set your password. Write it down, you will login with that.
- Retype your password in the confirm
- Agree to the options
Click Join Now
Respond to the activation email by clicking on the link.
You will be redirected back to a successful account activated page.
- Click on your name at the top right of the page.
- Select “Account Management” from the drop down.
- Click on “Enable 2FA”.
- Check your email for the 2FA confirm link.
- Your done.
If you wish to link any other platform accounts, you can do so from the Account Managemtent page at any time now or in the future.
Download and install the game
Login with your account. You will be greeted with setting some game preference options. Click confirm to proceed.
Your First Warframe
Watch the intro movie, you will see the three starter frame choices. The movie will end with you needing to make a choice for your first frame. Chose any of the three offered warframes, they are all amazing and you will eventually need them all as you progress in the game. This is just your first starting selection, don’t worry about it, you can not get it wrong.
After you make your choice, a little cut scene will start you on the tutorial quest. After control is given back to you, hold here. Go to your options and take some quality of life advice settings to get you off to a smooth start in Warframe. Adjust these to your comfort so that you can control yourself. You will adjust these settings many more times in the future as you play the game and get a feel for how things work.
- Open the Warframe game menu (escape button on PC).
- Select “OPTIONS”
- Check Customize Key Bindings to start visually connecting buttons to actions as you go along. Start to think about your fingers and buttons to press these for ease of use. This key binding will change for you as you understand what buttons are more importnat, repetitive, and how your fingers move.
- Set Look Sensitivity to 10, so you can control your head.
- Set Aim Sensitivity to 10, so you can hit what you aim at.
- Set Aim Sensitivity (Scoped) to 10, so you can hit what you aim at.
- Set Reload with Context Action Input OFF, you do not want to do a reload of your weapon everytime your try to interact with anyting else in the game.
- Go to the “INTERFACE” tab.
- Set Show Damage Numbers “DISABLED” you don’t need to clutter your screen with numbers that do nothing for you in the game but help get you killed when you can’t see the enemy behind them.
- Set Show Damage Numbers for Non-Player Allies OFF.
- Set Lock Map Rotation ON, it will help you with map orientation as you run around, otherwise the map can become very confusing and you will get lost.
- Set Landscape Overlay Map Fade to 20, you need it to help you and not block your view giving the enemy free shots at you.
- Go to “VIDEO” tab.
- Set Field of View to 90 so you can see what your doing.
- Set Motion Blur OFF.
- Set Depth Of Field OFF.
- Set Distortions OFF.
- Set Bloom Intensity to 20.
- Go to “AUDIO” tab.
- Set Self Mandachord Volume to 0, nobody wants to here your mess, not even you.
- Set Ally Mandachord Volume to 0, they are just as annoying as yours.
- Set Enable Gemini Skin Voices OFF, they are very annoying to you and everyone else.
- Go to “ACCESSIBILITY” tab.
- Set Hold to Sprint ON.
- Set Fire Manual Trigger Weapons Continuously ON.
- Set Enable Screen Shake OFF.
- Go into “Customize HUD Colors” at the bottom of this tab.
- Set Energy color to Cyan(light blue green) NOT WHITE, WHITE IS FOR RETICLE.
- Set Damage Number color to Light Blue. NOT WHITE, WHITE IS FOR RETICLE.
- Set Outline color to Neon Green. NOT WHITE, WHITE IS FOR RETICLE.
- Set Loot color to Bright Yellow. NOT WHITE, WHITE IS FOR RETICLE.
- Click “APPLY CHANGES”
- Click “CONFIRM”
You will need to double check later to make sure the game saved and applied these settings and did not lose them switching backa nd forth in the early game screens, between login, movies, and game play.
