Platinum is the supreme currency in the game. The most important thing you can buy with platinum is “slots” if your looking to increase your MR, as that is the only way to get them, so platinum is critical to your game progression.

Methods

Here are the platinum farming methods:

1. Run fissure missions cracking relics for general common prime parts and sell them on Warframe Market or trade chat..
2. Run tier 5 bounties in the open worlds to get Aya. Use that Aya to buy relics from Varzia in Maroo’s Bazaar. You then crack the relics to get Prime Warframe set parts and build full sets of Prime gear to sell on Warframe Market or trade chat.
3. Buy mods and weapons from Baro Ki’teer with ducats from selling primed parts farmed from fissure missions. You will buy all the mods and weapons you can to create an inventory that you will sell 3+ months later on Warframe Market or trade chat..
4. Riven Mods. You will collect all the riven mods you can, you will earn the endo to rank them up, you will earn the kuva to roll them to have superior stats and sell them on Warframe Market or trade chat.

These methods are just you doing the work and someone else is going to pay you platinum for it, nothing special, these are a regular part of the game.
